Terms of Service

These terms define how course information, applications, sandbox access, learner submissions and studio participation are handled.

Cancellation and refund conditions are provided in a separate policy.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These terms apply when you browse wumiselaro.info, send a course enquiry, accept an enrolment offer or use a Wumiselaro learning environment. By using the relevant service, you confirm that you can enter into this agreement and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

The programme is intended for adult learners. If you apply on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to provide the application information and arrange participation.

2. Educational scope and outcomes

Wumiselaro provides systems-architecture education through briefings, sandbox exercises, written notes and review conversations. Course descriptions explain the intended scope, prerequisites, schedule and evidence produced by each module.

Completion records work assessed inside the programme. It is not a professional licence, employment guarantee, promotion guarantee or assurance that a learner can resolve every production incident. Learners remain responsible for applying judgement, organisational policy and appropriate professional supervision.

Course models are educational specimens. They illustrate architectural behaviour but cannot reproduce every constraint, data condition or organisational dependency found in a live estate.

3. Applications, places and fees

Sending the public form creates an enquiry, not a guaranteed place. We may ask follow-up questions about experience, availability and learning goals before offering a cohort. An enrolment becomes confirmed only when the stated acceptance steps and any required payment are completed.

Course dates, capacity, fees and included materials are communicated before confirmation. If an employer is paying, the learner remains responsible for understanding attendance and participation expectations.

4. Sandbox and account access

Lab access is personal to the enrolled learner and may not be shared. You must protect account credentials, follow access instructions and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

Sandbox environments are provided for the assigned exercises. You must not probe unrelated infrastructure, attempt to escape the environment, introduce malware, disrupt other learners, mine cryptocurrency or use the service for unlawful activity. We may suspend access where necessary to protect learners, instructors or systems.

5. Learner material and confidentiality

You retain ownership of original notes, diagrams and code you create. You give Wumiselaro a limited permission to host, copy and review those materials for course delivery, feedback, administration and completion records.

Do not upload employer-confidential source code, personal data, credentials or restricted production information unless a separate written arrangement explicitly permits it. Examples should be anonymised and reduced to the architecture needed for discussion.

Course materials, specimen designs, exercise instructions and instructor resources remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Your enrolment provides a personal, limited right to use them for learning; it does not permit resale, public redistribution or creation of a competing course.

6. Review conduct and collaboration

Learners must participate professionally, critique decisions rather than people and respect the confidentiality of peer work. Harassment, discrimination, deliberate disruption, plagiarism and misrepresentation of another learner’s work are not permitted.

Collaboration is encouraged when an exercise allows it, but submitted evidence must identify contributors and accurately describe your own work. Instructors may ask for clarification or a revised submission when authorship or reasoning is unclear.

7. Scheduling, changes and availability

We aim to deliver the published schedule, but instructors, lab environments or session times may change for operational reasons. Where a material change occurs, we will provide reasonable notice and an alternative session, credit or other remedy appropriate to the circumstances.

Online services may experience maintenance or faults. We do not promise uninterrupted access, but we will make reasonable efforts to restore affected course functions and protect submitted work.

8. Disclaimers and responsibility

Course information and educational materials are provided with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that every example is error-free or suitable for a particular production decision. You must test changes, follow security controls and obtain appropriate approval before applying ideas to live systems.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where limitation is permitted, our responsibility is limited to reasonably foreseeable loss arising directly from the affected service and, for paid participation, will not exceed the amount paid for that course except where applicable law requires otherwise.

9. Suspension, termination and contact

You may stop using the public website at any time. Course access may end when the enrolment period expires, when an agreed cancellation takes effect or when a serious breach requires suspension. Provisions concerning intellectual property, confidentiality, outstanding payments and dispute handling may continue after access ends.

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected] or through the studio application desk. The Cancellation & Refunds policy explains the separate rules for changing or ending a booking.
