Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information enters the Wumiselaro studio, why we use it, how long it remains and what choices you can make.

Questions about an active application can also be sent through the main studio form.

1. Scope and responsible service

Wumiselaro provides information about systems-architecture courses, accepts course enquiries and supports enrolled learners in supervised lab environments. This policy applies to information submitted through wumiselaro.info and to records created while we respond to an application or deliver a course.

It does not govern an employer’s systems, accounts or production data. Learners must not submit confidential source code, credentials, customer records or proprietary diagrams through the public application form.

2. Information we collect

When you send an application brief, we collect your name, professional email, current responsibility, the system context you describe and your consent to receive a reply. If you enrol, we may also keep scheduling choices, attendance, submitted lab notes, reviewer feedback and completion records.

Basic technical information may be recorded when the website is requested, including IP-derived network information, browser type, requested page, timestamp and security events. Essential local storage remembers your cookie choice and temporary interface preferences on your device.

Do not include production secrets. Use an abstract description of your architecture and remove credentials, personal data and confidential identifiers before sharing a course question.

3. Why we use information

Application information lets us reply, suggest an appropriate starting module and discuss cohort availability. Enrolment and lab records help instructors prepare a suitable sandbox, review submitted work, provide feedback and administer the learning agreement.

Technical logs help operate the website, diagnose faults and protect forms from abuse. We do not use course submissions to create public profiles, sell advertising audiences or make employment decisions on behalf of another organisation.

4. Cookies and local preferences

Essential storage records whether you selected essential-only or accepted the available preference. It may also preserve a temporary diagnostic selection so the interface behaves consistently. The site does not require optional advertising cookies to display course information or send the application form.

You can clear browser storage at any time. Clearing it removes the saved preference and the cookie panel may appear again on your next visit.

5. Service providers and disclosure

Information may be processed by infrastructure, email, security and course-delivery providers acting under our instructions. We limit access to the information needed for the service and require appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the security of learners or systems, or as part of a legitimate organisational transfer. We do not sell personal information or course submissions.

6. Retention and security

Unsuccessful or incomplete enquiries are normally retained only as long as needed to answer the request and manage follow-up. Active learner records may remain for the duration of the course and a reasonable period afterwards for administration, completion confirmation, dispute handling and legal obligations.

We use access controls, encryption where appropriate, backups and operational monitoring. No online system is risk-free, so learners should keep sensitive production material out of public forms and use the provided sandbox for practical work.

7. Access, correction and deletion

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis used.

We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where required for security, legal claims or statutory obligations. A request about reviewer feedback does not require us to alter an honest educational assessment, but factual errors can be corrected.

8. Contact and policy changes

Send privacy questions to [email protected] or use the studio application desk. Include enough detail to identify the relevant enquiry, but do not send identity documents unless we specifically request a secure verification method.

We may update this policy when the website, course delivery or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
